Director of Nicky Oliver Hairdressing, Sylvia Oliver has worked alongside Nicky to establish the salon’s reputation for excellence.
Her creative flare as a make-up artist has led to work in publications, TV and contributed towards winning national awards. Sylvia regularly works with Nicky creating beautiful and innovative make-overs for international shows and educational seminars.

Alison is one of longest serving member of the Nicky Oliver team having being at the salon for more than 20 years. She is a named Stylist in the Salon and a Teacher in the Academy.
She loves hairdressing as she is very creative and enjoys working with people. She specialises in all aspects of cutting and colouring male and female hair. Her favourite styles are Choppy Bobs and Gents Fade.
Alison loves the finer things in life; a glass of Prosecco, eating in nice restaurants and travelling abroad on holiday. Palma is one of her favourite locations.
Laurel has worked in the Salon for over 2o years as well as teaching in the Nicky Oliver Academy. She has been nominated for Northern Stylist of the Year and specialises in Afro, European and Asian Hair. Laurel also specialises in all colouring techniques, Brazilian blow dry and cold fusion hair extensions.
Laurel enjoys dining out and loves travelling, especially New York.
Theo started his Hairdressing career at Nicky Oliver Hairdressing as a Saturday junior and has worked his way up to being a Senior Stylist. Theo has had his work published in many Magazines and has been a finalist in the Hairdressing awards, he is very artistic and is a member of the Nicky Oliver Creative team .He is interested in fashion and loves working at the cutting edge of the industry.
He loves all hair, especially Cutting and colouring, working with Afro hair and braiding and plaiting are his favourite styles.
Outside of work Theo enjoys taking various workout classes around the city and also spending time outdoors running. Theo is also a self confessed foodie and takes any chance he can to enjoy some good food!
Jenny started hairdressing at 14, but took a break from the hair world and went traveling to Australia for a few years when she was 21.
She has now been back hairdressing for 4 years and loving it.
Jennys favourite hair cut(s) are ‘the shag/ wolf cuts’ and gents fades as she loves doing textured cuts.
Jenny is into fitness, loves socializing , shopping , meeting friends and going out for food.

Klaudia has been a hairdresser for 8 years. Originally born and trained in Budapest, Hungary she moved to London in 2015 to learn more about hairdressing. She worked in London then moved to Manchester in 2020.
She loves building strong connections with her clients and helping them express their personalities through their appearance! She’s passionate and always listens to her clients needs while always making sure her client understands what she is doing.
Klaudia loves all shades of blonde hair and she describes herself as an expert creating balayage / highlights.

Rebecca has 14 years experience in the hairdressing industry, she specialises in all aspects of hairdressing. She loves everything about colouring hair including her own. Her favourite hair cut to do is the ‘wolf cut’.
You can always find Rebecca on a Monday morning with a different hair colour.
Rebeccas hobbies include napping and taking her dog Cher for a walk,
She is a full time hairdresser and part time online shopper.

Hevine loves hairdressing, her favourite aspect of hairdressing is blow drying and highlights.
She speaks fluent Kurdish, Arabic, Greek and English.
In her spare time she likes dining out, travelling, listening to music and dancing.
Livvi’ is currently training to become a professional Stylist in the Academy. She loves changing hair styles, from wearing her natural hair to wearing vibrant coloured wig. She also loves head accessories such as head wraps.
Livvi is also the salon songstress. She has an amazing soulful voice and is currently studying level 3 music at college.
Fabienne works within the creative side of the business, assisting and recently co directing the salon photoshoots and shows, she is also responsible for the sounds and visions of the in-house media. Fabienne also works on the salon floor on the reception on a Saturday.
She has recently graduated in with a BA in Fashion from MMU and is also a DJ which she loves with a passion!
Bianca is responsible for the accounts and finance for both the Salon and the Hair Academy.
Nakia has been the welcoming face of the salon for the last six years, running the busy reception and product section and looking after clients, as well as being responsible for marketing the Salon and the Academy.
Out of salon hours Nakia is a House Music DJ who has regular show on Unity Radio and DJ’s at major Manchester city centre venues including 20 Stories, Anthologist, Venus, South ,Ark and Lock 91, as well as at private events.
Bakita has been a Hairdresser for more than 25 years and has worked at Nicky Oliver Hair Salon for 13 years.
She loves everything to do with Hairdressing! She adores ‘doing’ hair and every style is a passion, so she really can’t name her favourite style – she loves them all and is happy working on any hair type. In 2016 she was a finalist in the Bridal Stylist of the Year awards.
Bakita specialises in Afro hair, Weaves, Long hair dressing, Box braids, Hair extensions, Dread Locks and Relaxing and Perming.
In her home country of Angola she is a well-known Hairdresser. She speaks fluent Portuguese and has a young son.
